Fraud prevention, detection and referral for possible legal action are a top priority at IWIF. Our "Zero Tolerance" policy for workers' compensation fraud together with our vigilance helps us keep costs down for State agencies.
Comprised of experienced field investigators and certified fraud examiners, our SIU investigates leads, gathers evidence and refers perpetrators of fraud for prosecution. Types of fraud they investigate include claimant and medical care provider fraud.
Our SIU can't do it alone, however. To win the war on fraud, the SIU works closely with all IWIF departments. By aggressively pursuing those who are not playing fair, we help control workers' compensation costs.
You can report your suspicions of fraudulent activity to any of your IWIF contacts, claims adjuster or special investigator. You can also call the IWIF Fraud Hotline any time, 24/7. All calls are strictly confidential. Or, email a tip to Contact Us
